The "Section 2 Rower’s Showcase” is a yearly recruiting event held by Saratoga Rowing Association; The purpose of the event is to connect local rower’s with college coaches while educating their parents on the recruiting process. The event will also be held on the Friday, December 7th, at the SRA Training Facility and Boathouse. This year in 2018, we've opened the event to all athletes willing to travel to Saratoga.
New York State has over 70 teams and over 600 entries at the NYS Scholastic State Championship last year. This year, we’ve opened up the Showcase so you have the opportunity to recruit and promote your program.

This event is only open to current high school Juniors and Seniors. Throughout the course of the event, you’ll be asked to do various drills, complete a 5-minute piece at rate 22, and demonstrate your peak power. While coaches will be limited in the communication they can have with you, you’ll have every resource you’ll need to demonstrate your competency as a rower & follow-up with them after the event.

The college recruiting process is a challenging process. There are rules, regulations, and guidelines for everything and we know it can be an overwhelming process. SRA is committed to growing rowing in our community and that includes you. This year, we’ve partnered with Rower’s Edge to put on a presentation for you about the recruiting process. The presentation will take place from 3:30-4:30pm upstairs at the Saratoga Boathouse. Please note: Parents are not allowed to attend the recruiting event at the Training Center; You may attend the “Rower’s Edge Presentation” or come back at the end of the event.
